Standard Splice kits are available from stock for splicing together cables with the same AWG sizes for submersion in water or direct burial in the earth. BUTT CONNECTORS & HEAVY WALL HEAT SHRINK TUBING. Burndy HYLUG™ terminals are designed for terminating copper conductors in a wide variety of electrical connections including heavy-duty industrial, utility and submersible. The connectors are manufactured from seamless high conductivity electrolytic copper tubing with heavy duty wall thickness which provides maximum conductivity, low resistance and ductility for an excellent combination of electrical and crimp forming properties. The connectors are electro-tin plated to provide a durable, long-lasting corrosion resistance and are UL LISTED 90° C, 600 volts to 35 kV and CSA certified to 600 volts. Scotch® Linerless Rubber Splicing Tape 130C is a highly conformable, linerless, ethylene rubber (EPR), high-voltage insulating tape, formulated to provide excellent thermal dissipation of splice heat. The tape is designed for use in splicing and terminating wires and cables. Rated up to 90˚C continuous operating temperatures and short-term 130˚C overload service. The tape has excellent physical and electrical properties, which provide immediate moisture seals and void-free build-ups. This product can be used for low and high-voltage (through 69 kV) applications.
